A Gift in the Mail!

I am so excited!! I will be spending my next few evenings reading my new book from Harold McGee. My friend, Vicki, got this for me when she heard Mr. McGee speak at a conference. I haven't had a new book in well...since Santa but before then...I can not even remember! Tears of joy, friends. Tears of joy. It is even signed..just for me!!

You are so funny! I can't believe it got there this quickly. Here's the water oven link. I wonder if there will come a day when every kitchen has one-

You will LOVE this book! I have it, but it's not signed...you are so lucky! Congrats on your upcoming move--sorry I've been so quiet on my blog--it's been a crazy month and I'm in the process of trying to secure a location to open a retail bake shop for my business. Are you no longer in the HCB group? I haven't seen you on the list and missed you. :)
Vicki,
I watched the video..it is like steaming everything. It looks amazing. Perfectly controlled temperature. Thanks for the link. I am thinking my bathtub could do some magic with a turkey!!

Jill,
I hope things will slow down for you and good luck with finding a perfect location. I can't wait to see pictures.
If you have time read my post for the apricot chocolate roll to answer you HCB question.

Do you read his column? He mentioned it at the lecture. This is the first time I've read it and am itching to learn how to make my own creme fraiche. That stuff costs a fortune everywhere except Trader Joes.
